River Aire in Flood Nov 2001

22nd November 2001 to 18th February 2002

In November 2001 many rivers flooded throughout the UK. The River Aire was no exception. For several miles the only way over the river was by footbridge. These photos do not show the river at its highest. I have included photos taken from similar vantage points that show the river as it normally is.

The woman in the photos is Christine Kershaw. Those photos were taken by her husband. They both worked at Pace.
